Justin Hurwitz — Another day of sun

Джастин Гурвиц (англ. Justin Hurwitz, род. 22 января 1985) — американский композитор и сценарист. Наибольшую известность получил как автор музыки к фильму «Ла-Ла Ленд» (2016), также написал музыку к двум другим фильмам Дэмьена Шазелла — «Гай и Мэдлин на скамейке в парке» (2009) и «Одержимость» (2014).

За «Ла-Ла Ленд» Гурвиц получил премию «Золотой глобус» за лучшую музыку к фильму и за лучшую песню («City of Stars»), премию BAFTA за лучшую музыку к фильму и премию «Оскар» за лучшую музыку к фильму и за лучшую песню («City of Stars»; а также ещё одну номинацию за «Audition (The Fools Who Dream)»).
Гурвиц ходил школу в Глендейле (Висконсин). С режиссёром Дэмьеном Шазеллом Гурвиц познакомился в Гарвардском университете, где они играли в одной группе, жили в одной комнате и вместе работали над студенческим фильмом «Гай и Мэдлин на скамейке в парке».

Pretty Good, Weird Rhythm

I thought that this arrangement of «Another Day of Sun» was very good, although the accuracy was hurt because of the attempt of a more simplistic piece, which it also was not. It was pretty difficult, mostly because of the rhythm, which tied pretty closely in with the original piece, but was a bit stuttery and couldve been done better. All in all it was probably a 3.5/5! 🙂
