Элвис Аарон Пресли (8 января 1935 — 16 августа 1977) — американский певец, музыкант, продюсер и актёр, известный под титулом «Король рок-н-ролла» или просто «Король».

Элвис родился в г.Тьюпело, Миссисипи в бедной семье и детство провёл в районе для бедняков, где белые жили по соседству с чёрными. Когда Элвису было 13, семья переехала в Мемфис, Теннеси, «Мекку» блюза. Элвис рос в самом сердце корневой американской музыки, впитывая наряду с «белой» музыкальной традицией богатые «чёрные» истоки музыки Американского Юга.

В 1953 году на студии «Sun Records» Элвис якобы под предлогом подарка матери на день рождения сделал свою первую демонстрационную запись, которая не осталась незамеченной владельцем студии Сэмом Филипсом, и уже год спустя на «Sun» был выпущен первый сингл Элвиса, который перевернул музыкальный мир. «That’s All Right, Mama» стал первым локальным хитом Элвиса. В течение 1954-1955 годов Элвис стремительно набирал популярность сначала в Мемфисе и окрестностях, а затем и по всему Американскому Югу. В этот период его заметил менеджер «Полковник» Томас А. Паркер, организовавший в конце 1955 года для Элвиса контракт с крупнейшим американским лейблом, специализирующимся на популярной музыке, RCA Victor. • Relax, stretch, and warm-up hand and feet muscles every time you play.
