Our popular Grand Auditorium 314ce is an acoustic workhorse that performs equally well in the practice room, recording studio, and on stage. This latest edition features our acclaimed V-Class bracing, a revolutionary innovation in acoustic sound that responds with greater musicality and harmonic agreement. By introducing a more orderly vibration to the guitar’s top, V-Class bolsters the sustain and volume to offer players a more dynamic voice to explore, while also resolving the minor intonation issues that players have long had to contend with. Together with a solid Sitka spruce top and solid sapele back and sides, you can expect a balanced and articulate blend of top-end brightness, midrange fullness, and low-end warmth that accommodates an array of playing styles. Appointments include black binding, Gemstone fretboard/peghead inlays in Italian acrylic, and satin-finish back and sides with a gloss top. A Venetian cutaway invites your fretting hand up the neck, while our proprietary ES2 electronics serve up faithful plugged-in tone. The guitar ships in a deluxe hardshell case.

The acoustic/electric 314ce responds well to a wide range of playing styles thanks to Taylor’s medium-size Grand Auditorium body. Sapele shares mahogany’s lively tonal response and, together with a Sitka spruce top, rings out with a brightness and clarity that give these guitars a definitive Taylor voice. Black binding flanks sapele’s ribbon-like grain, with Italian acrylic fretboard dots adding a traditional touch. The guitar incorporates a Venetian cutaway, comes equipped with Taylor’s Expression System 2 pickup, and ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.

Tasmanian blackwood continues to grow in popularity as more players discover its musical strengths: strong projection, a warm and focused midrange, and top-end sparkle. Normally we pair blackwood back and sides with a mahogany top within our 300 Series, but for this limited edition cutaway Grand Auditorium, we’ve swapped mahogany for Lutz spruce, whose properties lend a dynamic boost to the overall acoustic output. Together, the woods find a musical sweet spot in the middle of the tonal spectrum, which gives the guitar an especially lively and engaging personality. Featured appointments include faux tortoise shell for the binding, rosette and pickguard, the return of our “Twisted Ovals” fretboard inlay scheme, and vibrant abalone-dotted bridge pins that add a pop of color against the ebony bridge. The guitar comes equipped with our clear-sounding ES2 acoustic electronics and ships in a Taylor deluxe hardshell case.
