Карьера Льюиса началась в Мемфисе, с записей на Sun Records в 1956 году. Владелец лейбла — Сэм Филлипс, — возлагал на Джерри Ли особые надежды, рассчитывая вырастить нового Элвиса Пресли. Первым хитом Льюиса стал сингл «Crazy Arms» (1956). Следующий хит — «Whole Lotta Shakin’ Going On» (1957), собственного сочинения, — стал визитной карточкой певца и с тех пор был записан множеством исполнителей. Затем последовали также успешные «Great Balls Of Fire», «Mean Woman Blues», «Breathless», «High School Confidential». Бурно развивавшаяся карьера Льюиса была почти погублена скандалом, разразившимся в 1959 году вокруг его женитьбы на 13-летней двоюродной сестре. После этого успех певца стал затухать. Он продолжал играть рок-н-ролл, записываясь у Сэма Филлипса до 1963 года, после чего перешёл на новый лейбл и стал заниматься поиском своего нового пути. После серии экспериментальных альбомов Льюис, как и многие рок-музыканты его поколения, в итоге обратился к кантри, где его ожидал успех. Сингл «Chantilly Lace» (1972) три недели возглавлял американский хит-парад в категории кантри.

Fast and difficult
This is a fun song, but kinda hard to learn. Practice makes perfect!

difficulty
it is off and on about the difficulty of the piece. be sure you can play much slower music first.
