The Beatles — культовая британская рок-группа из Ливерпуля:Джон Леннон (ритм-гитара, губная гармоника, вокал), Пол Маккартни (бас-гитара, фортепиано, вокал), Джордж Харрисон (соло-гитара, вокал), Ринго Старр (ударные, вокал). Группа считается величайшей в истории. The Beatles внесли колоссальный вклад в развитие рок-музыки, а внешний вид, манера поведения и убеждения музыкантов привели к значительному влиянию группы на культурную и социальную революцию 1960-х. Группа The Beatles достигла беспрецедентной популярности и стала одним из самых ярких феноменов мировой культуры XX века, продав по всему миру более 1 миллиарда пластинок.После распада группы, произошедшего в 1970 году, каждый из её участников начал сольную карьеру.

Корни ансамбля уходят в середину 1950-х гг., эпоху рок-н-ролла, которая сформировала мировоззрение и музыкальные вкусы будущих участников группы. Весной 1956 года Джон Леннон (1940—1980) впервые услышал песню «Heartbreak Hotel» Элвиса Пресли, которая, по его словам, означала конец всей прежней его жизни (интересно отметить, что услышанный им прежде Билл Хейли — самый популярный исполнитель рок-н-ролла до Пресли — произвёл на него меньшее впечатление). К тому времени Джон играл на губной гармошке и банджо, теперь он стал осваивать гитару. Вскоре вместе с товарищами по школе он основал группу «The Blackjacks», позже переименованную в The Quarrymen, названную так в честь их школы, Quarry Bank. Куорримен играли скиффл — британскую разновидность любительского рок-н-ролла — и старались походить на тедди-боев.

Here Comes the Sun
My youngest daughter discovered the Beatles after I picked up a best of on iTunes, and she particularly loved this beautiful song. I have a few books of Beatles sheet music, but they are perfunctory arrangements, and my daughter is a real emerging talent on piano — she needed the real deal. The Music Notes version is that — everything that she and her teacher needed to nail the song. It is now a favorite in her repertoire, and sounds awesome. Highly recommended.
