Why do I want to sing “ the cat came back the very next day”.

This is a great tutorial. I’m still new and thus, slow to change chords, but I am saving this video for a future visit.

Which model are you playing? Is it a Luna High Tide Exoctic Mahagony or Koa with preamp? Mahalo! 🙂

Hello from Argentina👏🙌🙌

Que más che! Gracias para ver el tutorial

I’m still playing the uke for fun! It helps relieve stress and anxiety.

That was awesome

Nice one thx. Which ukulele are you using? Is it a tenor or concert?

How did I learn this whole song and re watch this video 110x and just now realized that’s the ukulele I have

OMG. you look like a baby here lol. Seroiusly, great stuff bruh. fits right into Stray Cat Strut» as well.

really nice tuto thanks 🙂

Is there a PDF on Patreon?

My pleasure, happy you dig it.

where’s the tap you mentioned?

Bravo, but just a remark, very much echo about voice.

@leo marcotte Correct, but I left that room in 2015. This video is about 5 years old.

@TenThumbs Productions i think it is causing by the
room.

Budget was pretty low, we have made an effort to reduce that with our newer videos.

Great tutorial. Subscribed.

Daniel M P thanks!

Thank you very much l like your channel! Could you attach a file with tabs for each lesson

You can get tabs through our Patreon service. Link in the first pinned comment.

If you want to play finger style, this is how:
A string
G string
1st fret E string
E string

Used this in my performance with Ukulele Russ on my channel — thexvid.com/video/AHQ8BpXBE8Q/видео.html — thanks Tyler.

Excellent teaching! Thank you!

I’m getting ready for my annual road trip to Alaska. I hope to record this on my way north.

Awesome tune, Tyler. Gotta learn this tune!

This chord progression is known as «Andalusian cadence» and it is very common in Spanish music.

Thank you. You made it way too much fun.

Great compliment! thank you so much.

Yeah, but how does the singing go along with it? These are the same chords as stray cat strut and I keep reverting to that!

Rip. not specificity for this song. but most songs because I’m young my hands are to small for things like bar chords or other things. any tips.

The evolution of your hair is.. lol amazing. As is your teaching TTP!

Really enjoying this! Thank you so much.

hIt ThE rOaD jAk (͠≖ ͜ʖ͠≖)

super super Poland regards thexvid.com/video/DQL_yGyo_zQ/видео.html

The last one is lowkey easier than the intermediate one

I feel like I’m cheating on the ukelele teacher

just a pekin duck He will get your started, but once your ready for advanced ukulele this is the place to be.

Cool! thank you! I’m learning one song a day and this is today’s song.

Hey, could you do a uke lesson for Zac Brown Band Where the boat leaves from?. Thanks for all the lessons!, I wouldnt be playing the ukulele without you. Thought it was only for reggaish type songs but I was suprised that rock and other genres sound sound pretty good on it to.

Thank you for the great tutorial. A play thru would be the icing on the cake!

I swear I feel like on every video tutorial I see on TheXvid the chords sound different. I keep tuning my uke again and again but it keeps sounding different from every next one I open up. Is it possible that TheXvid distorts the sound to make the chords sound different than they would in real life?

The original song is played in A flat minor, not A minor like this version. He changed the key because the chords are harder in the original key.

Love this music! Thanks so much!

I love your video’s man! You really helped me develop my uke skills. I became a patreon yesterday 🙂 Thank you for all your effort you put in the video’s!

great song, best teacher, thanks¡¡¡¡¡

Epa, thanks my friend!

what a great teacher! thank you!

Thank you so much!

Thanks this is amazing! I have been looking over different songs and I might as well try this!

Greetings from Oaxaca México. You are a amazing teacher!!

I am new to the uke, your lessons have helped me a lot. 1 Question, why do you switch from the Luna to the Martin. Just curious.

Hey Tim! Great question. I still play my Luna a lot, when I travel and I can only take one I take the Luna. I usually have my Luna in an alternate tuning when I am home trying to create something new, open C, down a half step, a shotty atempt at DADGAD, so I usually don’t just grab it. That is the real big reason, the other reason I I really love soprano Ukuleles and my Luna is a concert, most people really love the bigger Ukuleles, like the tenors, but I think the smaller the Ukulele the more it sounds like an «ukulele,» I don’t know if that makes sense or not. I still love the Luna though!

so do you have this tablature posted anywhere?

I’ve just cracked this with a low G-
Dm off fret 5
C off fret 3
Bb off fret 1
A7
Gaining root movement in the bass
Enjoy

I just played through it and it sounds great, but you gotta get that 2nd fret of the low G string on that A7 to keep the bass nice and tight. Cheers and thanks for sharing, I had fun with it.

I love
your lessons, simple.

I like your instructionals.
One thing though, this tune, and many others, would benefit from a LOW G string in lieu of a HIGH G string.
Mahalo Mike

BTW- I play only solos, like Jake, but he is light years ahead of me, for sure.

Let me tell you a little story.
I belong to a ham radio club. At one of the meetings, a member mentioned that he thought he’d like to learn to play a ukulele, that was all he said about it. I took the thought home with me, because as a player of stringed instruments, I thought I’d do some research to present to him at the next meeting.
I went to forums, manufacturers’ web sites, and TheXvid. On YT I found Honoka & Azita, plus Jake Shimabukuro. I was fascinated by what I had seen and heard — no hula gals dancing to strumming Samoans, but REAL music of very high quality. So, Amazon introduced me to a Lohanu uke. Then I bought a bigger Lohanu (tenor) uke. Then I visited a uke store in Fort Lauderdale, tried about half a dozen ukes and bought a very nice Kala KA-SRMT-TRI, and my latest acquisition is a Kanilea K2T. All this because someone else spoke very briefly about a ukulele. All this occurred within a four month period, BTW. Am I smitten? You betcha!

Yeah, I play a low G too, based on some surveys and limited study we have done less than 1% of our students have a low G though, but you are totally right. Songs like «The Joker» by Steve Miller we did with both a low G and a high G to illustrate that point. Thanks for the tips, you are totally right too, this song would sound great with a low G!

You help me so much. I am determined to learn to play well enough to enjoy the experience of making music. This ole dog is gonna learn new tricks! (I’m 74)

This older woman is learning it already & feels great. thx teach!!🙂

Ye got a couple on me, dodger, but with ye musically.

Dogstarbrite how’s your progress?

I love it! You’d be one of our older students, keep me in the loop, I want to know how your progress goes!

I just bought my first ukulele and i am afraid to tune, because i dont know if strings are to tight, can i broke something? and when i strum it sound so much difrent than yours..

Hahaha, I broke one of my strings when i was tuning it late at night, wasnt paying attention, if it ever happens strings are cheap, and super easy to restring.

They can be to tight, but it would be very very very tight, you’ll have to tune it. Any friends at school that can show you the first time? Electric tuners help.

at first a bit difficult but so fun once you’ve learned it! great tutorial 😀

Yeah it can be a little tricky at first but tastiness is the reward of the hard work!

Thanks man very good tutorial !! i think the timing is a little off though !!

It’s just kind meant to be the skeleton. Ol’ Ray Ray has a lot of inflection going on that the Piano brings to the table.

I have a question, do you use a ukulele soprano or concert? I don’t really know the difference. And this tutorial is really good for a beginner!

This one is a concert, they are the most versatile and what I would recommend to someone who wanted to own just one Ukulele.
