Томас Андерс откровенно о распаде Modern Talking: «Я сильно устал от Дитера»

Пути Томаса и Дитера окончательно разошлись в 2003-м. Спустя годы Андерсу и Болену не раз предлагали воссоединиться хотя бы на одно выступление, на запись одной песни. Но упертый Томас всегда бросал на подобные камбэки категоричное «нет!». Болен же и сейчас не против совместного проекта.

Почему Андерс так настроен — он объяснил в автобиографической книге:

«Почти все считают, что дуэт распался из-за моей жены Норы — она отвлекала меня от музыки, диктовала свои условия, хотела, чтобы я пел сольно. Вина Норы есть, но на всего 10 — 15 процентов. На самом деле я сильно устал от Дитера, от бесконечных гастролей. Почти спустя год после жизни в одном отеле, фотосъемок, ужинов я понял, что наше совместное пребывание действует мне на нервы. Я думаю, что у Дитера два маленьких проводка в голове неправильно соединены. Только так можно было объяснить его поведение. Чувствовать он, по-моему, не умеет…

Как-то Дитер бесплатно снялся для Adidas, после чего стал носить ужасные пастельного тона спортивные костюмы. Если бы ему фирма предложила в ближайшие 10 лет бесплатные презервативы, Дитер, вероятно, добровольно носил эти презервативы на всех частях тела. Болен — самый жадный человек, которого я знаю! Уверен, возобновить Modern Talking он хотел бы только из-за денег.

Чем больше альбомов мы продавали, тем больше Дитер чувствовал себя гением. Он всегда говорил: «Я — лучший в студии пианист, певец, и вообще я самый главный». Дитер высасывает людей, как губка. Он лишает их своей энергетики, потому что только вместе с нею он светится ярче.

А еще он — трус. Не смог мне позвонить и сказать, что покидает группу, — он сделал это через газету, хотя мы договаривались взять паузу и молчать об этом. Он нарушил обещание! Я сам позвонил Дитеру и, услышав его северогерманское «Да-а-а», сказал: «В моих глазах ты — самый большой засранец, с которым я когда-либо встречался!» Я положил трубку. С тех пор больше не было Modern Talking, а для меня и Дитера Болена».

Из-за скандальной книги у Томаса возникли проблемы с Норой — на тот момент уже бывшей женой. Она подала в суд, сообщив, что музыкант нарушил обещание о неразглашении подробностей их личной жизни. Больше всего даму задело, что бывший муж назвал ее сумасшедшей транжирой. Суд она выиграла, а Томасу пришлось пустить под нож напечатанный тираж и в отцензурированном виде выпускать книгу снова.

— Раньше я считал, что главное — успешная карьера. Теперь уверен: нет ничего важнее семьи! — пришел к выводу Дитер Болен на 68-м году жизни.

У него шестеро детей от трех женщин. Старшему — Марку — сейчас 35 лет.

— Горжусь своим первенцем! Он настоящий гений, хотя в школе хорошими отметками не отличался. Видимо, мои гены взяли верх. Да и поведение у Марка было так себе, — улыбается многодетный папаша.

Марку посвящены три песни: With A Little Love из альбома Let’s Talk About Love, Give Me Peave On Earth из In The Middle Of Nowhere и Crossing The River из Hello, America.

— Я, как любой нормальный мужчина, не умею красиво говорить о чувствах. Мне проще передать свои эмоции в песне, — разводит руками Болен.

Тем не менее нынешней жене Карине, которая моложе музыканта на 31 год, Дитер в любви признается постоянно:

— С ней мне настолько комфортно и весело, что хочется остановить время. Я никуда больше не спешу, ни о чем не переживаю — просто наслаждаюсь каждым днем, каждым часом.

Супруги много путешествуют, вместе начинают день с велопрогулки, а вечером у них обязательный ритуал — совместная ванна с медом и цветочными лепестками.

— Ощущаю себя лет на 30 максимум. И это из-за жены, — говорит Дитер.

The Studio 33 situated in Spain, near the Airport of Palma de Mallorca, was first located in Hamburg/Germany, under the name of Star Studio. It was designed by Chips Davis, Las Vegas, who had built and designed the first LEDE (live end dead end) control room in April 1978, the concept evolving out of Dick Heyser’s TDS (Time Delay Spectrometry), Don Davis’s and Chips’s work on early reflections, Dr. „Puddle“ Rogers’s work in Pinna Transformations and Sound Reproduction and the psychoacoustic fusion of common signal imaging.

To meet with the LEDE requirements the control room had to be built with the precision of a watchmaker: the room had to be 100 percent symmetrical, with the basic geometry having been marked out by laser! Very close tolerances in the specified dimensions – even in the basic structure – had to be kept, the complete wiring optimised, the audio system assembled piece by piece to ensure phase continuity and freedom of earth problems. So, after a long period of arduous work the first studio in Europe with a certified LEDE control room finally saw the light of day in March 1984 and the first producers came in for recordings and testmixes.
LEDE is still quite new in Europe and our customers had to get used to the new possibilities and dimensions of sound this acoustic design offers, in the beginning they often just did not dare to use the full range of power, fearing that, when leaving the control room and hearing their mix on different equipment, it would blow the mix. Quite the contrary: mixes and recordings that leave our LEDE control room remain absolutely identical to what could be heard in the control itself, the proportion of the mixes never changes.
Here we would like to quote Terry Nelson, who visited us to write an article on STUDIO 33 for Studio-Sounds „Studiofile“ of August 1985:
„The system is extremely powerful and allows plenty of headroom for peaks. I played with a multitrack recording of an orchestra with no EQ, going from soft to very loud. The balance and tonal quality of the mix remained identical, meaning that the room was not being excited in a way to produce colorations and that the monitoring was being consistent over the power range used. In short: it worked …“

In the meantime the quality of the STUDIO 33 has attracted a large clientele and only one year after the opening, STUDIO 33 had the first No.1 hit with international success: You’re my heart, you’re my soul, by Modern Talking.

The studio floor area of the recording room is 210 m2 (1050 m3), with a high ceiling of approximately five metres and very controlled acoustics, perfect for every kind of recording from big orchestras to rock bands, as well as average track-by-track recording.
The control room is equipped with an SSL 4064 console with G+computer and a Studer D820 48-track digital machine. A wide range of musical instrument effect units for all sounds required today is also available.
Nowadays, beside the main LEDE regie, Studio 33 offers 2 more studios full equipped with MCI consoles, digital/analog multitrack and 3 Midi-Rooms facilities (each one of them with a SONY/MCI 24 track analog!).

We feel that producers and artists coming to our studio trust us with their most valuable possessions – their compositions and ideas – and they are entitled to the best to be able to put these ideas into reality. That`s why our studio price, unlike many other studios, includes all the outboards, and there are plenty of them !!
There should not be any limit to their creative potential. So, to build a studio with a pleasant working atmosphere and a control room where long working hours would not be tiring was only one part of our aim: the other was to have a place where producers, musicians and artists alike would feel comfortable and easy, a place that would inspire them in their work. And we are happy to be able to say today:
YES, IT WORKED OUT !
