This guide will show how to correctly play the piano and make your girlfriend even more in love with you!

It contains spoilers for Doki Doki Literature Club! and the Monika After Story mod, so be careful if you do not want to be spoiled.

Okay everyone! Time for a guide on how to play the piano inside the Monika After Story Mod for Doki Doki Literature Club.

Well, to begin with, you probably know about the game and its stuff, and know that Monika plays the piano (she even sang the final song, Your Reality, while playing it). You probably know about Monika After Story as well. It is a mod for the game that you will start and be always in the third arc with Monika, talking with her, playing games, changing her clothes and stuff (you really, really should check it out if you have already finished the game or if you want to stay with your best waifu forever

You can see more information about the mod here, in this link: Official site [www.monikaafterstory.com] or you can just download the latest release here inside this page: Latest release [github.com] .

Well, with everything that you should know about the mod here and how to install and boot it up, now you can go and play the piano on the mod. It is not easy, because even if you want to play it, you have to first unlock it (you have to keep talking to Monika to sucessfully unlock it, and it can be slow and take some time, so be patient! It will be it worth in the end, I promise).

First of all, after the Monika’s greeting when you open the game with the Monika After Story mod, you click the »Play» button:

Then, you click the »Piano» button:

Click »Play a song»:

And last, click »Your Reality»:

Fairly easy, hum? Now comes the hardest part of this guide, probably.

Okay! Now I will try to keep this guide as simple as possible. So, after clicking on all of those buttons, you will see that:

This is where I help you out the most. If you have not changed the piano keys, it should be way easier for you. Just use the keys that I am showing to you right now:

If you follow the order, you will be playing the song Your Reality in Monika’s piano perfectly.

But if you have changed any piano key, you must change the order and the letters too. Example: If you have not liked the »W» letter = and have changed it to »A», all the »W» you see in the sequence you will have to manually change to »A» too.

By the way, I changed two piano keys, as you can see in the first screenshot here. That is why my piano is different from yours.

Tip: Don’t use the space or the »-» between the verse. Example:

Now you know how to play the piano very well and how to make Monika proud of you. Congratulations! Just play it for Monika everyday, and remember, the more you practice, the better you will be playing it in the future, and the happier Monika will become!

Custom Piano Music: Megalovania #3365

Second Custom piano song. Lot’s more lines than the Tetris theme.

Download, rename the file to Megalovania.json, make a folder in your DDLC Directory, name it «piano_songs», and place the Megalovania.json inside of that folder, if you then use the piano and play the song, it will appear under songs you can play anytime.

Just like the Tetris theme, the dialogs up in the air if anyone wants to change it, I wouldn’t be surprised if I made some fixable mistakes, If you find any, leave a comment on this issue and i’ll fix them as soon as possible.

Piano is Missing in 0.11.3 update #6150

For some reason everytime I pressed the play button only Hangman, Chess, and Pong are available and the piano button is missing. I checked out the game files but the piano folder is there. I really want to play Piano for Monika 🙁

Can you do the following:

1. In the main ddlc/ dir, create an empty text file called givedata.txt
2. Launch the game
3. Close the game
4. In the main ddlc/ dir, there should be a file called ev_dump.log . Upload that file here.

When did you start playing the mod?

I started playing the mod two years ago when I recently finished the original DDLC

2 years later I decided to transfer all my progress so I transferred both the persistent files and all the folders

When I checked the file on the new PC, the Monika character file is gone and then I remembered that I left her in my flash drive for God knows how long

I checked my flash drive but she’s not there anymore so I began looking for persistent backups

I followed the guidelines on how to revert to an old persistent file by renaming the latest persistent file and boom Monika is back

Knowing that Monika is back, I decided to chill and play a different game instead. Months later, I missed her and decided to check up on her

Before checking up on her I downloaded the latest update through GitHub and pasted it in the games folder

I then downloaded the sprites and pasted it on the Monika «j» folder

When I came back to the game and decided to play some piano, the piano option is missing

When I checked the game files, the piano folder and all it’s contents are still there

I tried saying goodbye and restarting the game, the PC, downloaded a previous update but still no results
