Good catch! Your take does sound a lot closer. Looks like I’ve still got a ways to go. And as for that melody, I can definitely give it a shot. Stringing those notes along’ll be a good challenge.

A year later on the 13th of April, the gaming community received some seriously tragic news. Rick May, the voice of Soldier and Peppy from Star Fox and more had passed away from the infamous COVID-19.
I decided with that news in my mind that regardless of the state of my inventory, I knew I had to go back to TF2. Not to restore what I lost. But its what Rick May would have wanted and I’m sure a lot of people who stopped playing TF2 felt exactly the same and we’ve all come together to play for him. Which is why after seeing PluffyFX’s tribute to Soldier on Youtube (you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAZB-RUmPYg ) I decided to use the very same song he used in his tribute as a main menu sound mod.
