Hans Zimmer — A Way Of Life (из к/ф «Последний самурай»)
Ханс Флориан Циммер (нем. Hans Florian Zimmer; родился 12 сентября 1957 года) — немецкий композитор, известный своей музыкой к кинофильмам.
Циммер родился во Франкфурте-на-Майне, Германия. Он начал свою музыкальную карьеру с игры на клавишных и синтезаторах в группах Ultravox и The Buggles (сингл «Video Killed the Radio Star»). В 1980-х он работал вместе с кинокомпозитором Стенли Майерсом. Его первым крупным достижением считается 1988 год, когда написанная им главная музыкальная тема фильма «Человек дождя» была номинирована на премию Американской академии киноискусства «Оскар».
С этого момента Циммер начал писать музыку для многих больших фильмов, как «Багровый прилив», «Скала», «Всепожирающая страсть», «Гладиатор», «Шофёр мисс Дэйзи», «Принц Египта», «Перл Харбор», «Тонкая красная линия», «Падение чёрного ястреба», «Звонок», «Код да Винчи», «Ангелы и Демоны», «Пираты Карибского моря: Сундук Мертвеца», «Пираты Карибского моря: На краю света», «Шерлок Холмс», «Начало», «Последний самурай» и др. Кроме того, его музыка звучит в фильме «Тёмный рыцарь» (в сотрудничестве с Джеймсом Ньютоном Ховардом). Так же Ханс Циммер является автором музыкальных тем игры Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (в сотрудничестве с Лорном Балфи).
Циммер был номинирован на «Оскар» 8 раз в номинации «Лучший саундтрек», но удостоен премии был только в 1995 году за музыку к мультфильму «Король Лев».
Вместе с ним, в его студии «Remote Control Productions» (ранее известной как «Media Ventures») работают композиторы Стив Яблонски, Джеймс Дули и Джефф Занелли.

Only someone with disabilities in seeing or hearing could press that dislike button this is the greatest piano piece off all freaking time and I’ve heard thousands. At least it’s my favorite piano piece in the world. As a pianist for the last 3 years I still can’t believe how much control you have with velocity at fast speeds mad respect!

Hans Zimmer’s golden years.
I could watch this movie any day. I have seen it so many times it’s impossible to count. Playing the theme on the piano certainly brings new life into an already beautiful theme. Then again, Hans Zimmer. can’t go wrong with anything written by him. arrangements are going to be amazing. Love the interactions between Ogren and the Japanese family he ended up with; how he grew to care about those kids.
I never cared how inaccurate this movie was, it was always a masterpiece. You made this a 1000x masterpiece.
Just starting learning this piece. Got a long way to go but it’s absolutely incredible, so worth it. One of my favorite piano pieces/soundtracks and one of my favorite movies.
Patrik and Hans Zimmer should never meet up and play piano together. The music will be too powerful, it’s dangerous.
This and Rush is Hans Zimmer’s most underrated theme..

This made me cry. it’s entirely beautiful and encapsulated the sadness and pain in the final scenes in the movie yet also brings a sense of peace and calm that come in the final moments of Katsumoto’s life.
