Yiruma — Prelude in G-minor

Yiruma (род. 15 Февраля 1978г.; Сеул, Корея) — южнокорейский композитор. Женат на бывшей мисс Корея, Son Hye-im.

Yiruma начал играть на фортепиано с 5 лет, в 11 он отправился в Англию, где учился в Purcell School of Music для музыкально одаренных. Yiruma поступил в Королевский Колледж, где учился у выдающегося современного музыканта Харрисона Бертвистля. Во время его обучения в Королевском Колледже, его музыкальный талант был замечен, и вскоре увидел свет его первый альбом классической музыки под лейблом DECCA.

В январе 2002 года Yiruma вошел в историю, как первый корейский музыкант, выступивший на известном музыкальном фестивале MIDEM в Каннах, Франция. С тех пор альбомы Yiruma продаются в Европе, Японии, Сингапуре и по всей Азии. Зимой 2004 года Yiruma успешно завершил год феноменальным 23-остановочным концертным туром по Корее (2004 Drama Concert).

В апреле 2005 Yiruma записал альбом «Destiny of Love», в который вошли темы из и новый фортепианные соло.

Любовь корейцев Yiruma заработал сочинением и исполнением музыкальных тем к популярным телесериалам, в том числе к сериалу «Зимняя соната» и его продолжению «Весенний вальс». В 2006 году музыкант стал рекламным лицом Korea Telecom’s KT icom G-cube и Yamaha Korea. В том же году он отказался от британского гражданства чтобы получить возможность служить в вооружённых силах Республики Корея.

По окончании службы в 2008 году музыкант возобновил выступления, но в сентябре 2010 разорвал контракт со звукозаписывающей компанией Stomp Music и подписал контракт с Sony Music Entertainment Korea. Stomp Music подала на артиста в суд и тяжбы за права на его произведения продолжались до конца 2011 года, поэтому Yiruma на протяжении этого времени не записывал новые произведения. В 2012 году выходит новый студийный альбом.

Difficult but Beautiful

I highly recommend this piece for advanced pianists. The big chords are one of the greatest challenges. Youll have to really stretch for some of them — Rachmaninov was known for his huge hands. However, when you master the song, youll love to play it. (Playing across the piano with those huge chords is very fun. They go so fast that its almost a full aerobic work-out!) In the middle there is a two page stretch that completely deviates from the theme but sounds incredible. The only thing I dislike about the song is the all too quiet ending on the last half of the nineth page. I dont think it does justice to the rest of the song. But its still highly worth buying for the other thundering 8 1/2 pages. I recommend buying the song on iTunes first to hear what youre getting. You wont be disappointed.
